Electronic Commerce (lecture and project)
Dr. Abate taught these courses. I took it during my first semester at Nova. The lecture course consisted of seven papers based on the information from the textbooks, and the project course was a study into an eBusiness website.
Client/Server Systems

Dr. Cannady taught this course. During this class, I was able to do in-depth research on Internet2. In many ways, Internet2 is attempting to recreate the environment that academia, industry, and the government shared in the early days of the original Internet. I even got a chance to talk with the folks in charge of UMSL's Internet2 program!

Systems Development Process (lecture and project)

Dr. Hartman taught these courses. This class was an in-depth study of the software engineering processes. A variety of methodologies and life-cycles were discussed. During the project course, I documented a Web Development Methodology. The process was created by my team at A. G. Edwards.

Database Systems

Dr. Sun taught this course. This was by far my least favorite course. It was a ton of theory-based solutions that even my database-expert collegues were unable to assist me with. I was thoroughly relieved when I passed this course, which is saying a lot since a B is like failing for me!

Human-Computer Interaction (lecture and project)

Dr. Cohen taught these courses. I loved this class! The whole usability field fascinates me. Finally a class that is stirring dissertation ideas!

Information Security

Dr. Cannady taught this course. This is an area I had no background in and really enjoyed finding out about. My assignments were all focused on Web Application Security, which has been very helpful information for me to learn more about.

Multimedia Systems (lecture and project)

Dr. Cohen taught these courses. I was excited about this class! I got my dissertation topic from this class and some of my project work fed into it.

Decision Support Systems

Dr. Mukherjee taught this course. This is an area I had no background in, but it was intriguing... it was the most math I'd done since highschool!
